Boxes

Boxes are constructed with recycled, moisture resistant corrugation. Our standard box measures 22" x 12" x 14", weighing approximately 20 pounds. Our courier box holds twice the number of trays as a standard box and is designed to resist tumbling during courier handling. Courier boxes measure 22" x 23' x 14", weighing about 40 pounds. Insulated packing will be used to to prevent frost damage. Insulated, standard boxes measure 23" x 13" x 15" and weigh approximately 24 pounds. Insulated courier boxes measure 23" x 25" x 15" and weigh approximately 45 pounds.Trays are held snugly within individual tubes. Generally, one tube size is used per box. Tray count per box varies by program and plant type. Approximate packing in standard boxes by program and tray size follows:

Prefinished Cyclamen Program

4" pots are packed 14 per tray, one tray per box.Standard boxes measure 22" x 11" x 9" and weigh approximately 11.25 pounds. Courier boxes measure 23" x 24" x 18" and weigh 51 pounds.

Pallet Racks

This reusable rack system is made using corner angels stapled to a wood frame structure. Ends are sealed with corrugated board and/or shrink wrap. Packing allows for more open air flow to trays and the ability to fork lift large quantities into receiving areas and/or trucks with minimal handling. Dimensions: 39" x 43" x 42-84" high. Pallet racks hold 120-162 trays and weight 50 pounds plus four pounds per tray. Pallet racks are not well suited to Florist Crop (Cyclamen Liner, Specialty Liner and Cool Season Liner) or Prefinished Cyclamen orders.

Wagner Owned Carts

Sanitized carts may be used for deliveries to customers able to handle and unload at the time of delivery as temperatures permit. Our ability to drop carts for an extended period of time depends on the truck's route.

Customer Owned Carts

Customer may drop off their won carts prior to scheduled pickup date. Ownership labels must be present on each cart, and the carts must be clear of all plant debris.

All product is shipped F.O.B. Destination, Freight Prepaid and Added to the Invoice. Consignees hold responsibility for additional shipping charges, including delivery charges from an airport. Freight is assessed based on shipment size and shipping zone. Zones are defined by ZIP code and conform to FedEx's shipping zones for Minneapolis, MN. Zone A generally includes ship-to's within 400 miles. Zone B includes all other serviceable locations within the continental 48 states. Alaska, Hawaii and International shipping is available on a quoted basis.

FedEx Express Pkg from HUB

Grower Truck Linehaul to HUB with FedEx Package Distribution the next day. Availability limited to regional HUB service range.

SpeeDee Ground Service

Service only available to Zone A and northern Illinois. This service is not available during cold season.

Trucked to Door

FedEx LTL from HUB

Grower Truck Linehaul to HUB with FedEx LTL Distribution. Grower truck drop at hub followed by next day FedEx LTL delivery (before 5:00 P.M.). Requires pooled orders totaling more than 2,250 pounds of freight

LTL from MSP

Less than truckload, shrink-wrapped pallets
• Via FedEx Freight (not temperature controlled)
    - Ship-to locations beyond 400 mile radius qualify for two day delivery.
    - Ship-to locations within 400 mile radius qualify for next day delivery.
• Via Grower or Contracted Truck (temperature controlled)
    -requires pooled orders totaling more than 2,250 pounds of freight

Grower Truck LTL

Carted or boxed wtih approximate maximum capacity of 4500 trays per truck. Pooled route criteria must be met (outlined below), mileage includes return trip. Ship-to's must accomodate a 53' trailer. Wagner's retains the right to reroute truck orders without notice.

Grower Truck TL

Full truck load; boxed or pallet rack delivery. Requires pooled orders totaling more than 7.500 pounds of freight (over 375 boxes). Service to Zone B only.

Cooperative Truck

Regional, cooperative shipping with Malmborg’s. Anticipated routes and subregions in parts of North and South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin. Routes to be served on designated weeks.

To Nearest Airport Delivery

Phone On Arrival delivery to nearest major airport. If a local trucking company is contracted to provide delivery from the airport at an additional charge paid by consignee, please provide the trucking company name and contact information to allow proper preparation of waybills.

Customer Pickup

Pickup times scheduled in advance with Wagner’s Shipping Department.

Wagner's is in compliance with the provisions of the Domestic Japanese Beetle Harmonization Plan. Specific inspections and/or documentation from certified agencies required for specific orders will be facilitated by Wagner's with assessed fees added to the invoice.

Necessary Phytosanitary inspections will also be facilitated by Wagner's with incurred fees being added to the invoice. Your broker can provide detailed information regarding minimum fee schedules for Phytosanitary inspections.

The Montana Late Blight Quarantine affects our ability to ship tomatoes into Montana. Quarantine rules allow us to ship 288 and smaller cell sized tomatoes into Montana prior to May 15th. After May 15th, we cannot ship tomatoes into Montana.

We recognize that each grower has a unique customer base and sometimes has need of varieties and/or tray sizes not appearing on our Variety Lists. Custom requests for these items can be submitted through your salesperson or broker for approval. Custom requests must equal or exceed three trays per variety per ship week.

In the event of a shipping problem, please file your claim with your broker or salesperson immediately to allow reporting to Wagner's within 48 hours of your receiving the shipment. Please do not contact the courier to resolve the claim.

Any other claim should be filed with your salesperson or broker and conveyed to Wagner's within 14 days of receiving the shipment. Please document the problem carefully and thoroughly, recording information printed on the tray label (if available): variety, tray size, ship week, and corresponding label ID number (located in the lower left corner of the tray label, beginning with "L"). Document the problem with both notes and photos. For cultural problems, please be prepared to provide a crop history, including temperatures, fertilizer, pH, media type, etc. We will work with you to resolve any problems as quickly as possible and your efforts at documentation will speed this process.
