All young plant products from Wagner Greenhouses are marketed through the broker system. Your salesperson and broker provide many personalized services and possess an immense knowledge of the industry and its trends. Your salesperson can help you determine which varieties will perform best in your area, which tray sizes will best meet your needs, and which shipping methods work best for your location.

Product can be ordered from Wagners either by advance ordering or at once ordering. To insure you get the varieties and tray sizes you really want, we strongly recommend advance ordering. By submitting an order to your broker well before sow date, you allow enough time for your request to be sown to order. An at once order may help you fill some last minute needs, but is not as reliable for season long planning. Current, or at once, availability is viewable online. For advance ordering, please refer to individual programs for available varieties and products. All orders must be processed by a broker and then forwarded to Wagners. We cannot accept orders directly from growers.

Many terms and options carry across our programs and are summarized below. Please see individual programs for program specific terms. Please remember that your broker’s ordering terms and requirements may differ slightly from ours and must be respected.

Effective Dates:
While Cyclamen Liners are available year round, products on other programs are available during season appropriate periods: Spring Plugs ship from November through June, Summer/Fall Plugs ship from July through December; Prefinished Cyclamen ship from July through February; Specialty Florist Pot Crop Liners ship January to September; and Cool Crops Liners ship from August through January. Please reference individual programs for exact availability dates.

Trays:
Available tray configurations are product and program specific. All trays are thermoformed plastic. We use Common Element trays whenever applicable. Trays become grower’s property after shipping; we do not request trays be returned. To prevent damage to young roots, we do recommend the use of a plug dislodger.

Packing:
Our shipping boxes measure 22” x 12” x 14” and weigh 20-22 pounds, depending on the product shipped. Trays are held individually within separate cardboard tubes. Boxes are packed one tube size per box. Tray packing volumes may vary between programs; please reference individual programs for approximate tray counts per box. Insulation is used as needed to prevent plant damage from frost. Insulated boxes measure 23” x 13” x 15” and weigh approximately 23 pounds. Insulation is provided at no extra charge.

Shipping Services:
Available shipping methods may vary by program. In general, Wagners can ship via the major airlines (POA or redelivery), by FedEx (package and freight), by Grower Truck (Wagners’ operated trucking; racked or boxed), by regional courier (Speedee), and by Customer Pick Up (at our dock; racked or boxed). Most programs have minimum levels for shipments. Your broker may have other order minimums that also must be met.

Freight:
Freight is generally prepaid by Wagners and included in the price of the product. Prefinished Cyclamen are an exception. Freight for Prefinished Cyclamen is prepaid and added to the invoice. Growers should not pay the courier for delivery fees, unless special arrangements for independent redelivery have been made.

Volume Discounts:
Broker/ship-to volumes for one ship-to are based on the previous year’s volume. Spring Plug and Summer/Fall Plug volumes combine in full for annual volume. The florist crops, Cyclamen Liner, Specialty Florist Pot Crop Liners and Cool Crops Liner, also combine in full for annual volume, but florist crop annual volume is determined separately from the bedding items. Prefinished Cyclamen volume is determined independently of other programs. All orders for the current year will be priced at the previous year’s volume until that volume level has been surpassed. When the previous year’s volume level is surpassed, volume will accumulate from order to order, and all unshipped orders will be automatically recalculated. Orders below a program specific minimum will be priced at Volume One regardless of broker/ship-to volume.

Early Order Discounts:
Several programs include an Early Order Discount (EOD). EOD deadlines are generally 20 weeks prior to ship, but please review individual programs for differences.

Custom Orders:
Varieties and/or tray sizes not included on a Variety List for a specific program are considered Custom Orders. Custom Order requests should be submitted to Wagners in writing by the broker. Custom Orders must equal or exceed three trays per variety per ship date. While Wagners will make every effort to supply the number of trays ordered, we will not guarantee counts for Custom Orders (i.e. customers will be billed for the quantity of plugs ordered, not the quantity shipped). With the exception of shipping problems, complaints regarding custom orders will not be accepted.

Cancellations:
Cancellations of bedding items (Spring and Summer/Fall Programs), Specialty Florist Pot Crop Liners and Cool Crops Liners must be made prior to sowing. Cyclamen cancellations must be made 30 days prior to shipping.

Claims:
Any shipping claims must be filed with the broker or salesperson and reported to Wagners within 48 hours of receiving the shipment. The customer or broker should not contact the courier. All other claims should be filed with the broker or salesperson and conveyed to Wagners within 14 days of receiving the shipment. Failure to notify Wagners of potential problems within 14 days may result in the denial of a future claim.

Warranty and Liability:
WAGNER GREENHOUSES DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT PLANTS WILL BE FREE OF DISEASE, VIRUS, GENETIC DEFECTS, MUTATIONS, SYNDROMES, INSECTS, OR OTHER PESTS. WE MAKE NO WARRANTY FOR CROP YIELD, CROP QUALITY, OR MERCHANTABILITY OF THE CROP, NOR DO WE MAKE ANY OTHER EXPRESS WARRANTIES. WAGNER GREENHOUSES’ LIABILITY FOR ANY DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SALE OF PLANTS OR OTHERWISE WILL NOT EXCEED THE PURCHASE PRICE OF THE PLANTS. WAGNER GREENHOUSES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ANY SORT, WHETHER DIRECT OR INDIRECT.
