Japanese String Gardens. Also known as Kokedama (ko-ka-DAH-ma), this ancient Japanese form of bonsai is one of the hottest trends in indoor gardening. A Kokedama (moss ball) is basically a plant grown in a ball of special soil that is covered in sphagnum moss and tied with string. They can be hung in a window or placed on a decorative tray and used as a centerpiece.
In this workshop, you will create your very own Kokedama which consists of one 4” foliage plant (makes a 6” Kokedama), special soil mix, sheet moss and string plus expert advice and instructions. Kids 8 and older, welcome with an adult.
You may have 2 people making one item. You will be charged per item made not number of people attending. Space is limited and we still need to know how many people are attending.
